DC Shopian felicitates 23 Panchayats for achieving TB- Mukt status

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today felicitated different Panchayats of the district for achieving ‘TB-Mukt Panchayat status’ for the year, 2024, during a felicitation ceremony held at Meeting hall of DC Office Complex.

A total of 23 Panchayats of the different blocks of district which qualified as TB Mukt Panchayats as per set parameters received appreciation certificates for their contribution in making panchayats TB- free.

While addressing the gathering of BDOs, Panchayat Secretaries and others, DC appreciated efforts of Panchayat Secretaries whose critical role ensured the recognition. Their responsibilities including administrative tasks, implementing government schemes at the grassroots level, facilitating the smooth functioning of the Panchayats was noted and applauded.

Earlier, DTO Shopian briefed about the implementation of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme in the district. She highlighted the efforts and achievements made so far.

CMO, Shopian, Dr. Arshid Hussain Tak; MS, DH, Shopian, BMOs and officers from the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme were also present.
