Day 2 of Gurez Visit: DC Bandipora conducts Foot Tour of remote Areas

Engages with public and assures swift redressal of issues


BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 18: On the second day of extensive tour of the Gurez Subdivision, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Friday visited remote and far-flung areas of the subdivision, including Bozgay, Rufooji, and other areas of Tulail. He conducted parts of the visit on foot to reach the most distant locations.


During his visit, the DC engaged directly with the local population, meeting residents to listen to their grievances and concerns.


He gained a deeper understanding of the challenges they face, particularly related to infrastructure, healthcare, and essential services.


The DC assured the public that their issues would be addressed promptly. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to providing solutions and improving living conditions in these remote areas.


The visit also focused on reviewing the developmental needs of the region, with the DC personally identifying areas requiring immediate attention.


He assured residents of continued support and collaboration from the administration to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the area. The DC noted that the visit was part of ongoing efforts to bring governance closer to the people, ensuring that even those in the most remote regions of the district have their voices heard and needs met.


During his visit, the DC was accompanied by SDM Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad, and other concerned officers from the Sub-Divisional and District Administration.
