DLSA Kathua organises Special Lok Adalat

Five benches hear MACT, Matrimonial cases; Realise Rs 22 lacs as settlement amount

KATHUA, OCTOBER 19: Under the patronage of Patron-in-Chief, J&K Legal Services Authority Justice Tashi Rabstan, and under the guidance of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Kathua (Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua) Jatinder Singh Jamwal, a Special Lok Adalat to hear MACT and Matrimonial Cases was organized by Secretary DLSA Kamiya Singh Andotra at District Court Complex here today.

Four benches for settling the referred MACT cases and Matrimonial Cases were constituted.

The Bench No. 1 comprised Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jatinder Singh Jamwal and Additional District and Sessions Judge Parvin Pandoh, while Bench No. 2 consisted of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua Viren Magotra and, Munsiff/JMIC, Kathua Munish Kumar Manhas.

Bench No. 3 was led by Munsiff/JMIC, Mahanpur Kangana Gupta, and Bench No. 4 consisted of Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate, Billawar Poonam Gupta, and Munsiff/JMIC, Billawar Prashant Kumar.

Cases were taken up for amicable settlement and an amount of Rs. 22,00000 was realized as settlement amount.
