PD&SJ, Ganderbal chairs meeting of Police Officers; directs timely submission of FAR & DAR reports

GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 19: In compliance with the Supreme Court’s directions in Gowhar Mohammad v. Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, a meeting was convened by the Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Ganderbal today, at District Court here.


The meeting aimed to ensure timely submission of Final Accident Reports (FAR) and Detailed Accident Reports (DAR) as per the Motor Accident Claims Act, 1988 (amended in 2019).


The meeting was attended by, Ld. Sr. Prosecuting Officer, Ganderbal, Ld. Chief Prosecuting Officer, Ganderbal, ARTO Ganderbal, DySP Headquarter, DySP DAR, SHOs of all Police Stations, DOs of all Police Posts falling within the jurisdiction of District Ganderbal.


The PD&SJ stressed the importance of compliance with the Supreme Court’s judgment. He directed Police Officers to submit FAR within 24 hours to the office of the Presiding Officer MACT Ganderbal and concerned insurance companies and Submit Detailed Accident Reports (DAR) within three months, accompanied by insurance certificate, registration certificate, driving license, fitness certificates, and other relevant documents.


This meeting marks a significant step towards streamlining the process of submitting FAR and DAR, crucial documents in motor accident claims cases, ensuring alignment with the amended Act of 2019.
