DC calls for accelerating School Projects in Reasi District

REASI, OCTOBER 22: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan on Tuesday chaired a crucial meeting to review the status of abandoned and incomplete school buildings constructed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The meeting, attended by officials from the Education Department, XENs, focused on assessing the progress of 38 projects and formulating actionable solutions to address the stalled infrastructure projects across the district.

During the review, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of completing these projects by resolving the bottlenecks, if any. He instructed officials to make effective use of buildings by shifting, clubbing and converging them, especially schools in close vicinity to each other.

He also urged all stakeholders to accelerate efforts and instructed to order an inquiry if any teacher was found absent from duty without taking leave.

He also directed zonal education officers to take classes themselves.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to submit a detailed action plan within a set timeframe to expedite the completion of these critical projects.

He further highlighted the need for regular monitoring and collaboration among the stakeholder departments to avoid further delays.
