“TMC has reached a new level of politics of violence,” says BJP’s Rajeev Chandrasekhar
New Delhi [India], October 23 (ANI): Slamming Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee over his suspension for the day from the JPC session on Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 after he reportedly smashed a glass bottle during the meeting, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar said they (TMC) speak a lot on democracy and Constitution but practice the opposite of it. He added that TMC has reached a new level of politics of violence.
“These people who talk about democracy or the Constitution on every occasion are the same people who are trying to insult the Constitution and democracy every day. MPs behaving like this in the Joint Parliament Committee, showing such violence, I believe that in recent times we will not see any example of our democracy stooping lower than this,” said Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Hitting out further, the BJP leader said that there is a big threat to the Parliament House.
“Trinamool Congress has become a symbol in a way that they have reached a new level of politics of violence and disruption and I believe this is very wrong, there is a big threat to our Parliament, our parliamentary institution and very strict action should be taken against them…” said Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
