A Day full of diverse activities in  Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp at NTA Nagrota

Nagrota : 23 Oct 24 As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Jammu 2024 initiative, a visit to the iconic Balidaan Stambh was also organized for the Senior Wing /Senior Division and Junior Division/Junior Wing cadets from Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The visit aimed to instill in the cadets a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the brave sons of the soil and to introduce them to the heroic names etched in the history of supreme sacrifice.

The cadets were captivated by the Amar Jyoti, an eternal flame that flickers at the site, symbolizing the undying spirit of the nation’s war heroes. The visit not only expanded the cadets’ knowledge of India’s military history but also deepened their respect for the courage and patriotism of those who protect the nation.

The cadets also displayed their public speaking abilities & took to the stage with enthusiasm, delivering impromptu speeches on a wide array of topics. Their quick thinking, clarity of expression, and poise under pressure were truly commendable. The competition not only tested their speaking abilities but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and mutual learning as cadets from both regions exchanged ideas and learned from each other’s styles and perspectives.

The National Integration Awareness Programme (NIAP) at the NCC Training Academy, Nagrota, which is an integral part of the EBSB initiative provided a vibrant stage for the cadets from Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh and Bihar & Jharkhand Directorates during the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Jammu 2024. Held in the prestigious Zorawar Auditorium, the event brought together a vivid display of cultural richness, tradition, and regional heritage from the participating states.

The cadets mesmerized the audience with their creative performances, showcasing the unique aspects of their respective cultures. It offered a unique platform for the cadets to engage with one another’s heritage, promoting cross-cultural learning and the exchange of ideas. The performances exemplified the essence of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, weaving together the threads of two distinct regions to create a cohesive narrative of national integration.
