BJP holds workshop on membership drive

J&K BJP held a workshop on BJP’s Primary Membership Drive (Sangathan Parv) in presence of Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP, Sat Sharma, Working President, J&K BJP, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, Dr. Narinder Singh, National Secretary, BJP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM, Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MP (Rajya Sabha) and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, General Secretary, J&K BJP.

Dr. Rajdeep Rai, former MP & Prabhari Tripura BJP who is the member of the national team for ‘Sangathan Parv’ was the main resource-person for the workshop.

Aseem Gupta, Vice-President, J&K BJP & Incharge for ‘Sangathan Parv’, Munish Khajuria, Convenor, ‘Sangathan Parv’, Ankush Gupta, Co-convenor ‘Sangathan Parv’, and Arif Raja, co-convenor ‘Sangathan Parv’ were also present on the occasion.

Ravinder Raina, in his Presidential address, spoke on the success of BJP membership drives in 2014 and 2019 and BJP attaining the number one spot in the world in terms of primary membership surpassing the Communist Party of China. He said that while the period of membership drive coincided with the abrogation of controversial Article 370 in 2019, the dedicated party cadre attained the record target of more than 16 lakh primary membership including both online and offline membership. He asked the party cadre to achieve the greater target this time by promoting everyone above the age of 18 years to become primary members by dialing the magic number 8800002024.

Earlier, Ravinder Raina congratulated the success of BJP in the recently concluded Assembly elections in attaining the highest vote count in Jammu & Kashmir. He attributed this to the consistent effort by the BJP leaders and workers at all levels in reaching out to the public and linked it with the record membership of party in the last membership drive.

Ashok Koul provided further insight into the carrying out of successful membership drive in Jammu & Kashmir and said that the similar workshops on district levels will be held on 27^th of October. He, on the occasion, announced the names of District Incharges for the membership drive for all districts in Jammu as well as Kashmir. He shared 9240236431 as the helpline number regarding any difficulty in membership drive in Jammu & Kashmir.

Dr. Rajdeep Rai thoroughly explained the online procedure of membership of BJP with the help of PPT. He said that it is primarily through dialing the mobile number 8800002024. He said that membership can also be attained by logging into, by scanning the QR code and through offline mode in the areas with low connectivity. He shared 8860147147 as the helpline number regarding any difficulty in membership drive on the national level.

Aseem Gupta earlier provided the introduction of the ‘Sangathan Parv’. He said that the BJP holds the distinction of ensuring the internal democracy in its organization. BJP celebrates the organizational elections and the membership drive like a festival and hence denotes the process as ‘Sangathan Parv’. He also provided the details of the national level meeting on ‘Sangathan Parv’ held on 21^st October in Delhi.
