Capacity Building Program held for Stakeholder Departments in Ramban
RAMBAN, OCTOBER 23: A one-day capacity building program under Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) was organized by the District Employment and Counselling Centre here today in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Ramban. The event, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, was part of the preparatory phase of Project YUVA, which aims to empower young entrepreneurs with the skills and entrepreneurial mindset necessary for creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Prominent attendees included ADDC Roshan Lal; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; CPO Shakeeb Ahmed; DSEO Ganesh Kumar; CAO Ramgopal Sharma; CHO Anil Gorka; DDM NABARD Arushi Sharma; AD Employment Amit Kumar and other officers from the district administration. The session was also attended by Block Development Officers, Child Development Project Officers, and experts from different departments.
The program featured interactive sessions, where key resource persons from NABARD, the Employment Department, and EDI shared their expertise on credit facilitation, promoting youth entrepreneurship, and the role stakeholders can play in ensuring the mission’s success. The Assistant Labour Commissioner also presented key topics related to youth entrepreneurship and potential benefits for stakeholders.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of equipping stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the mission’s goal to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth. He highlighted the support offered by Mission YUVA for innovative ideas, startups, and providing handholding support to young entrepreneurs.
DC Ramban directed the formulation of a factual database through an initial survey to identify young entrepreneurs with sustainable approaches, ensuring the maximum impact of Project YUVA on job creation. Under the project, a target has been set to establish 1.37 lakh enterprises, creating employment opportunities for 4.5 lakh unemployed youth across the region.
The session concluded with discussions on aligning all stakeholders to the mission’s objectives and ways to extend these opportunities to potential beneficiaries.
