Work on Development of Sheikh ul Alam Centre for Skill Development begins at DC Office Complex Budgam

DC conducts on-site inspection
BUDGAM, OCTOBER 23: Work on the development of Sheikh ul Alam Centre for Skill Development located within the DC Office Complex Budgam commenced today.
The Deputy commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today conducted an inspection of the initiation of work at the site and directed the concerned agencies to ensure that the project is completed expeditiously within the scheduled timeline.


During the inspection, the DC directed the concerned agencies for completing the work maintaining high standards of quality, as the centre will serve the dual purpose of a public awareness generating space and also a Skill Development Training Centre.
The upgradation project will include the face-lifting of facade, installation of advanced infrastructure, such as state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, improved seating, enhanced lighting, interior designing, installation of tiles and ramps outside the building.
Additionally, the hall will be equipped with the necessary facilities to conduct skill development programs, aimed at empowering the youth and promoting employment opportunities in the district.


Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the importance of upgradation of infrastructure for the local community, noting that the hall, once upgraded, will act as a key venue for government and community interactions, and also serve as a dedicated space for youth skill-building initiatives.
Besides, CPO Budgam Irfan Giri, Executive engineer R&B, AEE Sub-division Budgam, EO MC Budgam, JE sub-division Budgam, all other concerned officials were present during the visit.
