DC reviews progress of work on key infrastructure projects in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, OCTOBER 24: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of upcoming infrastructure projects in Bhaderwah, including the new library, the work on which is expected to complete by December 2024.


During the visit, he also reviewed the facilities in the old library, assessing the maintenance and implementation of the modernization plan initiated to benefit the local community and students.


The progress of work on the new hotel being constructed by the Municipal Committee Bhaderwah (MCB) was also assessed. The upcoming hotel is expected to foster much needed accommodation for the tourists visiting the region. The project is part of a broader effort to enhance Bhaderwah’s tourism infrastructure and promote economic growth.


Later, the DC convened a meeting at Telighar Resort with key officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), Tehsildar, Executive Engineer of R&B, and Executive Officer of MCB. The meeting focused on discussing ongoing projects, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely completion of the infrastructural works.


The DC also visited the Rehabilitation Centre Bhaderwah, reviewing the facilities and services provided to individuals in need of support.


The DC emphasized the importance of completing all projects on schedule to meet the growing demands of both residents and tourists in the region. He also directed officials to maintain high standards of quality in construction and rehabilitation efforts, ensuring that these initiatives contribute to the sustainable development of Bhaderwah.
