9th Ayurveda Day Celebrated with ‘Run for Ayurveda’ Event Across Kathua District

Kathua, October 26, 2024 – In celebration of the upcoming 9th Ayurveda Day on October 29, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has issued a calendar of activities to engage the public in Ayurveda awareness. On the ministry’s directive, a significant event titled “Run for Ayurveda” was organized today across all blocks of Kathua District.

The primary event took place at the district headquarters under the leadership of Dr. Rakesh Sharma, District Ayush Officer, with staff members from the Ayush department actively participating. The run commenced from the District Ayush Office (DAO) in Kathua, with participants completing a round trip back to the starting point.

In addition, Ayush Health and Wellness Center (AHWC) Marapatti in Block Basohli hosted a bike rally to mark the occasion. Similar events, including rallies, were organized by the Ayush teams in Block Billawar, Block Hiranagar, and Block Bani, bringing awareness to the role of Ayurveda in public health.

Dr. Mohan Singh, Director Ayush J&K, acknowledged the district’s efforts, commending the enthusiasm and participation seen in each block.
