Department of Social Welfare, Kathua Organised Awareness Programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at Dharmkot , Billawar”

KATHUA, October : The District Social Welfare Department of Kathua recently held an impactful awareness program under the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” initiative at Government Middle School Dadwara and Anganwadi Center’B’ ,Dharmkot. This initiative aims to promote girls’ education and empowerment, emphasizing that educating a girl not only transforms her future but also positively impacts society.

At Anganwadi Center ‘B’ Dharmakot , 7 Anganwadi workers and 2 supervisors demonstrated strong community involvement. The HEW team distributed 30 baby care kits to baby girls, highlighting the importance of early support.

At Government Middle School Dadwara, students showcased their enthusiasm in a rally, where the HEW team distributed T-shirts to promote awareness and solidarity for the cause. Students also engaged in a vibrant digital campaign, pledging their commitment to girls’ education on social media. One participant passionately stated, “Our voices are powerful; let us use them to uplift and inspire one another!”

The program featured interactive workshops focusing on self-esteem and leadership skills, empowering young girls with essential tools for navigating challenges. Speakers emphasized the importance of believing in oneself, with one saying, “Every girl is a potential leader—each one deserves the chance to shine and influence the world!”

The event included a captivating poem by a talented student on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, further enriching the experience.
