Baramulla Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2024

Integrity Pledge Ceremonies held across District

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 28: The Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 was observed in Baramulla today with great enthusiasm, underlining the district administration’s commitment to fostering transparency, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of governance.

The week-long observance commenced with Integrity Pledge ceremonies held across the district, encompassing sub-divisional and tehsil offices. These pledge-taking events, led by district and sub-divisional officers, witnessed active participation from government employees, community representatives, and various stakeholders.

The pledge emphasized dedication to honest conduct, a zero-tolerance approach toward corruption, and the collective responsibility to uphold a culture of integrity. This year’s theme, “Say No to Corruption; Commit to Integrity”, resonated deeply with officials and citizens alike.

The week will also feature various awareness programs and activities to further the message of integrity across Baramulla.

Workshops, debates, marathons, painting competitions and public discussions on ethical governance and anti-corruption measures are scheduled, particularly targeting youth and community leaders to foster a vigilant society.

These initiatives are designed to encourage active public engagement in the fight against corruption, ensuring that the spirit of Vigilance Awareness Week extends beyond government offices and permeates the community.

With these concerted efforts, the district administration Baramulla reiterates its commitment to a corruption-free, transparent governance framework that aligns with the values of justice and integrity.
