Government Degree College for Women in Kathua organized a Diwali celebration

KATHUA, October 30: On the eve of Diwali, the Student Welfare Committee of Government Degree College for Women Kathua organized a Rangoli competition in the college campus. The event was filled with enthusiasm and featured a fair.

Fifty students participated in the competition, with Dr. Inderjeet Kour, Dr. Deepshikha, and Prof. Sachinjeet Singh serving as judges. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Savi Behl, the Principal of the college. In her address, she commended the initiative taken by the Student Welfare Committee to promote students’ cultural and traditional awareness, fostering spiritual and moral values that are essential for holistic development.

Senior faculty members of the college and members of the Student Welfare Committee, including Dr. Renu, Dr. Sonika Jasrotia, and Dr. Satish Khajuria, actively conducted the function. Prof. Surbhi Gupta, Dr. Ajay Sanotra, Dr. Tejinder, and Dr. Pratiyogita were also present in the function. Prizes were distributed among the participants. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Rachna Devi, the Dean of Students Welfare.
