Rajouri admin celebrates Diwali with Army Jawans near LOC

DC, SSP exchange greetings with valiant Soldiers, present them Sweets

RAJOURI, OCTOBER 31: In a heartfelt gesture to honor the dedication of the nation’s armed forces, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police   Randeep Kumar celebrated Diwali with army jawans stationed near the Line of Control (LOC) in Rajouri district.

The visit aimed to express gratitude for the soldiers’ relentless commitment to safeguarding the nation, especially as they serve in challenging conditions far from their families.

The DC and SSP, joined by other senior officers, conveyed their appreciation to the jawans for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice. As part of the celebrations, they presented sweets, which symbolized both the festive spirit of Diwali and the profound respect the administration and the community hold for the army. The event was marked by an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie, as the officials interacted with the jawans, exchanging greetings and sharing stories of strength and resilience.

Addressing the soldiers, DC Abhishek Sharma commended their role in maintaining peace and security along the borders, emphasizing the sense of pride and respect the entire nation holds for them. “Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, and you, our brave soldiers, embody this spirit by ensuring peace and safety for our country. Celebrating this festival with you today is our small way of expressing our deep gratitude for your service and sacrifice,” he said.

SSP Randeep Kumar echoed the same sentiments, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the army personnel stationed in high-risk areas. “Your unwavering commitment to duty, even on festive occasions, reminds us of the immense sacrifices you make for the country. It is an honor for us to stand beside you and celebrate Diwali, reinforcing the bond of trust and solidarity that exists between the army and the people of Rajouri,” he remarked.
