World Heritage Week 2024: Directorate of AA&M organises ‘Pep Talk’

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 20: To commemorate World Heritage Week 2024, the Directorate of Archives, Archaeology, and Museums, J&K, organized a Pep Talk by Historian and Poet, Zarif Ahmad Zarif on the importance of Culture and Harmony it manifests in J&K at Teachers Bhawan Bemina, Srinagar.

Teachers Bhawan witnessed enthusiastic participation from heritage enthusiasts, scholars, and students from various schools and colleges.

Speaking on World Heritage Week, Zarif raised awareness about the significance of World Heritage Week and importance of safeguarding heritage for future generations.
Celebration of this Week helps us to examine our history and traditions and enables us to develop awareness about heritage, he added.

Zarif while interacting with the students stressed that it is important to create awareness among the students about rich cultural heritage so that they can understand the importance of preservation of our glorious past for its posterity.

The event marks a significant initiative in creating awareness about the importance of heritage conservation/preservation while offering the public a unique opportunity to engage with the treasures of J&K.
