BJP pays tributes to Nanaji Deshmukh on his death anniversary

JAMMU , February , 27 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir led by its General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta and Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi paid warm tributes to Bharat Ratna Chandikadas Amritrao Deshmukh, affectionately called “Nanaji” on his death anniversary at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Tribute programme was organized by J&K BJP’s Department of Nanaji Deshmukh Library led by its Incharge Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra.

Senior BJP leader Adv. Chander Mohan Sharma, Secretary Arvind Gupta, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and other party leaders also paid tributes to the great ideologue.

Ashok Koul, while paying tributes to Nanaji said that the great ideologue worked in the fields of education, health, and rural self-reliance. He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award by the Government of India, Koul said and added that in active politics too, he remained connected to the roots of Bharat. He said that after renouncing politics, Nanaji worked for decades for the cause of rural development.

Kavinder Gupta also paid tributes to social activist and Bharatiya Jan Sangh leader Nanaji Deshmukh, saying his work continues to be a source of inspiration for the people. His organization skills and efforts to serve society are a source of inspiration for us, he added.

Yudhvir Sethi, Adv. Chander Mohan Sharma and other party leaders also paid tributes while remembering his life and works.
