ADC visits Zainapora, inspects RDD Works

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 23: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Shopian, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz today visited several areas of Zainapora, including, Aglar, Awneera, Chermarg, Melhura, Reban, Sofipora, Safanagri, Watchi and Zainapora to assess the progress of works being undertaken by the Rural Development Department (RDD).

During the visit, the ADC inspected the ongoing protection works, playfields, developmental projects, including infrastructure improvements, road construction, and other rural development initiatives aimed at enhancing local livelihoods and facilities.

The ADC interacted with the officials and locals to gather feedback and ensure the timely completion of these projects.

Such visits are part of the Administration’s efforts to monitor progress and address challenges in developmental activities across the district.

On this occasion, ADC encouraged greater community participation to align developmental projects with local needs and to ensure accountability in implementation. He instructed the officers and field staff for maintaining the quality and long-term benefits for the people.

ADC directed to ensure that ongoing projects under RDD, such as MGNREGA, infrastructure development and other welfare programmes adhere to set timelines.
