DC Leh convenes meeting of District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) 

 Leh, November 16, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve convenes meeting of District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) to review the progress of works under various initiatives at VC Room, DC Office, Leh on November 25, 2024. 

 During the meeting, a detailed presentation was done by Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Dr Mohd Abass. He informed the progress report of various initiatives under the committee. He appraised the committee that 5 PACs were sanctioned and 10 PACs are identified for computerization. He also added that a total number of 125 cooperative societies have updated their data on National Cooperative Database. 

 It was also informed that 9 new PACs applications were submitted for registration out of which 1 PAC was registered while 6 PACs are under process. 10 PACs have applied for Jan Aushadhi Kendras where 2 PACs were given approval. The committee was also informed about the status of PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras, Rural Piped Water Supply, Membership under National Cooperative Export Society, National Cooperative Organic Society and Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti. 

 The Deputy Commissioner Leh thoroughly reviewed the development of all the initiatives of the committee which is under process. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Dr Mohd Abass, District Development Manager NABARD Tsewang Dorjey, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Information and other officers and officials.
