HSS BINOON celebrates Constitution Day
BINOON , NOV 26 Constitution Day was celebrated to commemorate and mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and raise awareness about the Indian Constitution today by Staff and students of SWR. Verinder Kumar Government Higher Secondary School Binoon, Kishtwar J&K.The auspicious day was celebrated under the able guidance and overall supervision of Principal Deepak Sharma, in which whole of the staff and students assembled and readout the Preamble to the Constitution, thereby reaffirming their commitment to uphold its ideology.
Deepak Sharma, highlighted about the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution and sensitized the staff and students about the Constitution Day as it is being celebrated today across the country to mark the adopting of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly. He informed that the day is also known as National Law Day, as on 26th November in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of the country formally adopted the Constitution of India which came into force on 26th January 1950 and is known as Republic Day.He also divulged the information about various sources of Indian Constitution and stated that the Preamble refers to the introduction or preface to the constitution as it contains summary or the essence to the constitution. It embodies the basic philosophy and fundamental values on which the constitution is based and tells the nature of Indian state as sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. It specifies the objective of the constitution as justice, liberty, equality and fraternity to its people.
The Preamble reading ceremony to staff and students was conducted by lecturer Jaswant Singh.
