Congress murdered Democracy, disrespected Constitution: BJP

J&K BJP celebrated the day of adoption of the Indian Constitution as “Samvidhan Divas” at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, BJP National Secretary & MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, and MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa addressed the programme. BJP leaders also paid floral tributes to the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar remembering his important contribution to the framing and adoption of the Indian Constitution.

BJP Secretary Ayodhya Gupta, Former Dy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Neeraj Puri, and others were among the prominent present.

Ashok Koul said that the Indian constitution is extremely well drafted gifting everyone with all the basic rights and keeping all the necessities for the advancement of the Nation. Highlighting the extraordinary life of Dr. Ambedkar, he pointed out that Gandhi ji noticed his wisdom and asked Nehru ji to trust Dr. Ambedkar with the important task of being the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution. He also spoke on the party’s ongoing membership drive, asking all the party leaders to put more force in the untouched areas.

Dr. Narinder Singh shared a detailed insight into the Constitution of India. He laid stress on understanding and adopting the spirit of the Indian Constitution drafted by Baba Sahib. At the same time, he said that the vision of great India can only be achieved when by the Constitution, we all pay equal stress on our duties along with our rights. He also attacked the Congress party for destroying the fabric of the Constitution by amending it more than 80 times for its own benefit. Citing the example of ‘Emergency’, he said that Congress murdered Democracy and disrespected the Constitution.

Ch. Vikram Randhawa extending greetings to all said this day carries immense importance. He gave a brief history of the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949 under the leadership of Dr. Ambedkar, since its first idea in 1895, then its practical form in 1920 and other milestones, and stressed that we should obey the rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution.
