UT Secretariat employees celebrate Constitution Day at Leh
Leh, November 26, 2024: The Constitution Day was celebrated at the UT Secretariat Leh. All the Secretariat officials and officers participated in the Constitution Day celebration.
The UT Secretariat officers and officials from the various Departments took a pledge reaffirming their faith in the values of the enshrine in the Preamble of the Constitution of India.
Principal Secretary, UT Ladakh, Sanjeev Khirwar lead the participants by reading out the Preamble. He also exhorted that every Indian Citizen must abide by the values enshrined in the Preamble and adhere to the Fundamental Duties prescribed in the Constitution.
The Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas. On this day in 1949 the Constitution of India which established India as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic, was adopted. It came into effect on January 26, 1950.
Commissioner / Secretary, Social and Tribal UT Ladakh, Commissioner /Secretary Medical and Health UT Ladakh, Chief Electoral Officer, All Administrative Secretaries, and other senior officers of the UT Secretariat were present on the occasion.
