Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh Observes Constitution Day
Leh, November 26, 2024: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh, celebrated Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, at PM Shri School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Leh, to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949. The event began with homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, known as the Father of the Indian Constitution.
The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Deputy Chairman of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, Tsering Angchok, Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Leh, Ms. Tabassum Ara, the Principal of JNV Leh, along with staff and students.
During the celebration, participants reflected on the significance of the Constitution and pledged to uphold its principles. The ceremony concluded with the collective reading of the Preamble, reinforcing the commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, the core values of the Indian Constitution.
To make the event more engaging, a quiz competition was organized. A pad yatra of students holding placards was flagged off by the Deputy Chairman. The event concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
