New Districts Committee holds meeting with Directors, HoDs of various departments.

Leh, November 26, 2024: The New Districts Committee convened a meeting with Directors of various departments at their office on November 26. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd.), along with Sh. Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd.).

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Power Development Department Sh Tsewang Paljor, Director Urban Development Moses Kunzang, Director Finance Dr Safdar Ali, Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy Tsewang Paljor, ARTO Leh Inzar Ahmad Rana, PCCF Brij Mohan Sharma, and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Tsering Tashi.

During the meeting, NDC Chairman Pramod Jain instructed all officers to create visions, notes and proposals for the new districts, emphasizing the need for good and futuristic districts with proper development.

He stressed that people’s demands for a full-fledged district with basic amenities and facilities, such as a proper master plan, traffic management, sewerage, sanitation facilities, water supply, electricity supply, solar projects, fire tenders, sports infrastructure, solid waste management and other facilities should be considered and included in the report.

This meeting is part of a series of meetings with Heads of Departments of UT Ladakh to create a well-structured report for the new districts.
