New Districts Committee holds meeting with District Officers of Leh District 

 Leh, November 26, 2024: Leh, November 26, 2024: The New Districts Committee chaired by Sh. Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd.), along with members Sh. Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd.) and Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve IAS, convened a meeting with District Officers of Leh District to discuss proposals for creation of posts and infrastructure for the new districts at Conference Hall, DC Office Leh on November 27. 

 The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyalson, and Heads of Departments/District Officers from various Leh district departments. 

 During the meeting, presentations were made by Health, Education, PWD, Employment and other departments outlining their proposal for creation of post and infrastructure in the new districts. After reviewing the proposals, Chairman, Pramod Jain emphasized the need for more work by all the departments to develop well-planned proposals. 

He also stressed that proposals must be backed and approved by respective Heads of Departments and Secretaries, as well as the Deputy Commissioner/CEO. 

 This meeting is a follow up of a series of meetings aimed at creating a well-structured report for the new districts.
