DC Doda reviews working of Revenue Department
Calls for hassle-free online services, efficient land record management
DODA, NOVEMBER 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Harvinder Singh on Thursday chaired a meeting here in his Office to review the working of the Revenue department.
The meeting was attended by ADC Sudarshan Kumar; ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar; ACR Sunil Kumar Butyal, SDMs and Tehsildars besides DFOs of Forest Division Doda and Forest Division Bhaderwah.
The primary focus of the meeting was on assessing the progress of vital revenue-related issues, particularly the digitization and updating of Jamabandis and land records.
Stress was laid on the enhancement of online services, strategies to address encroachment issues—including the expunging of entries and actual ground eviction—land acquisition challenges and the resolution of court cases, grievances, and complaints.
The DDC highlighted the urgent need for efficient land record management practices and a commitment to improving public services delivery. He underscored the importance of transparency in the revenue administration and encouraged officials to adopt best practices that ensure timely and effective services for the community.
In addition, the DDC stressed the crucial role of public awareness regarding land rights. He emphasized that maintaining updated land records is essential to prevent potential disputes in the future.
The officers presented updates on ongoing initiatives aimed at digitizing land records and enhancing citizen access to information, thereby fostering a more informed and engaged public.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all officials to work collaboratively towards resolving Revenue record challenges and improving services delivery for the residents of Doda.
