Secretary Vikram Singh Malik Congratulates Rinchen Youdol on Winning Bronze at World Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championships

Leh, November 28, 2024: On behalf of the Administration of UT Ladakh, Mr. Vikram Singh Malik, Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, congratulated Rinchen Youdol for winning the Bronze Medal at the 1st World Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championships in Manama, Bahrain.

Rinchen Youdol, is the daughter of Morup Dorjey and Stanzin Angmo from Bodhkharboo village in Kargil district. She is the first-ever athlete from Ladakh to achieve such recognition at an international Para Taekwondo championship. Despite the tough competition, Rinchen demonstrated extraordinary perseverance, earning a well-deserved Bronze Medal.  

Secretary Vikram Singh Malik said that Rinchen’s achievement has brought great pride to Ladakh and to the nation. He exhorted the commitment of UT Administration to support and nurture talented athletes like Rinchen, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to continue excelling in their careers. He wished her continued success in her future endeavour and more achievements to come her way.
