Semi Ring Road Phase II: DC Bandipora convenes meeting to resolve key issues
BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 13: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, chaired a meeting on Friday at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora to discuss various issues related to the Semi Ring Road Phase II project.
The meeting focused on critical concerns, including soil extraction at Chewa, land compensation, and procedural clearances for tree cutting.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized that the matter of land compensation has been taken up with higher authorities, and directed the concerned to maintain coordination with local stakeholders to prevent unnecessary delays.
He also instructed officers to initiate the acquisition process for kahcharai land and provide technical support to the executing agency as required.
The meeting also discussed the necessity of obtaining proper permissions for cutting walnut and chinar trees, adhering to established procedures with geo-tagged photographs and accurate coordinates. The DC assured that a joint survey and verification process would be conducted after completing all formalities.
The meeting also reviewed the process of soil extraction at the industrial estate Chewa, with specific dumping spots already identified.
Qadri highlighted the administration’s commitment to monitoring the progress of the Ring Road project and directed all officers to expedite their respective tasks to ensure timely completion. He reiterated the administration’s full support in resolving challenges related to the project.
The meeting was attended by ADC Zaffar Husson Shawl, ACR, SDM Sumbal, District Mineral Officer, GM SIDCO, ExEn I&FC Sumbal, Representatives of NHAI, PIU Srinagar, Tehsildar Sumbal, and other concerned officers.
