Rapacious NC consuming Maharaja Hari Singh whom they embarrassed for political objective: Girdhari Lal Raina

Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir has invoked Maharaja Hari Singh ji to fulfil narrow political objective of his government, believing people in general and Dogras in particular have forgotten the humiliating treatment meted out to the Great ruler of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir by NC and its founder Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, said Girdhari Lal Raina, Spokesperson, J&K BJP.

J&K BJP Spokespersons Girdhari Lal Raina, and Dr. Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia along with Balbir Ram Rattan were addressing media persons, in a press conference organized at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Girdhari Lal Raina, while addressing the media, said that the BJP is surprised to see the changing colours of NC which beats even the Chameleons who change color based mostly on their emotions and not political opportunism.

People of Jammu and Kashmir remember very well who extirpated Maharaja Hari Singh ji from his beloved state and denied him even the right to be cremated in the city of his birth, said Raina.

History has recorded in detail the villainous role played by National Conference and its leaders including Sheikh Mohd Abdullah in demonizing the personality of Maharaja Bahadur. Mischievous propaganda was unleashed against Maharaja Sahib by NC-Congress combine soon after he signed the Instrument of Accession in October 1947 even the accession was delayed by these two entities as is recorded in parliamentary library in the statement of the then Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru made on the Floor of Lok Sabha on July 24’ 1952.

It is also in public domain as to who destroyed “map and everything that was left by the Maharaja (last Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh ji)” in 1947.  NC must tell people why it changed flag of Dogra Dynasty and instead made its party flag (NC Flag) as the flag of Jammu & Kashmir.

It must come out and tell us who stopped victorious Indian Army from clearing invasion and ordered them “thus far no further”.

The progressive laws introduced by Maharaja Hari Singh ji including democratization of Panchayats was tinkered by whom?

Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia, in his address recalled how just secular and popular leader Maharaja Hari Singh was who never discriminated on the basis of region or religion, while as the ruler of erstwhile state. The NC always did the reverse and treated Jammu and Ladakh as its colonies. He added that the spokespersons and the leaders of NC continue to malign the Maharaja to till date.

Jasrotia added that the policies of the National Conference were actually responsible for creating the communal and regional divide in the state and the rise of separatism and the terrorism, ultimately forcing into the breaking of the state and converting it to a Union Territory.

If Omar Abdullah and NC have real respect for Maharaja Hari Singh ji and his legacy the first thing it must do is to ask for his forgiveness and for atonement restore his relics and portraits where they actually belong- places which were illegally and immorally snatched.
