Block Diwas held at Pahalgam, Shangus blocks of Anantnag
ANANTNAG, March 01: Block Diwas was today held at Pahalgam and Shangus blocks of Anantnag District, with a large number of people in attendance to seek redressal of their grievances from the officials present.
At Pahalgam, the Block Diwas was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani.
During his address, the ADDC highlighted the Service Delivery and Grievance Redressal camps that had been held throughout the district, as well as the demonstration of various revenue e-Services that people can now access from the comfort of their homes.
He also gave a patient hearing to the grievances aired by the people and issued directions to the relevant departments for timely redressal.
At Block Headquarter in Shangus, the Block Diwas was presided over by Programme Officer, ICDS, Sandeep Singh Bali.
People present praised the administration for organising service delivery and redressal camps in their area.
The PO ICDS informed the people about various self-employment schemes available and encouraged the youth to use them to generate sustainable livelihoods. He also emphasised the role of parents and teachers in counseling their children against falling into the drug trap and to engage in productive activities.
The Block Diwas was attended by BDO Shangus, CDPO HQ and officials from other line departments.
