Cong takes out Ambedkar Samman March ,demands resignation of Home Minister
Jammu, Dec. 24- -Congress today took out ” Ambedkar Samman March ” from Ambedkar Chowk towards Divisional Commissioner office Jammu, seeking resignation and public apology from Home Minister Amit Shah for insulting the architect of the Constitution Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the parliament few days ago.
As part of the nationwide call of the party, senior Congress leaders of PCC,DCC & frontal wings took out ” Ambedkar Samman March ” to press for the demand of resignation and public apology from Home Minister. They raised slogans against the home Minister Amit Shah and in favour of Congress party and leadership of the party and fully supported the leadership to continue the struggle for seeking action against the Home Minister.
The March organized by PCC & DCC Jammu Urban, led by Working President Raman Bhalla alongwith Th. Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, DCC President Manmohan Singh, Ved Mahajan, Indu Pawar, Naresh Gupta, Yash Pal Kundal, Hari Singh Chib, Rajnish Sharma(Mian), Shashi Sharma, Satish Sharma,OBC Chairman Madan Dogra & other senior leaders raised slogans against Amit Shah seeking his resignation. The peaceful March started from the statue Chowk of Dr B R Ambedkar at Panama Crossing Gandhi Nagar and matched towards Div Comm office.
Earlier the Congress leaders garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar and raised slogans in his respect.
The police stopped the March just before the Div Comm Office, when a representative of the administration received the memorandum addressed to the President of India through divisional Commissioner seeking action against Mr Amit Shah.
Talking to media persons Shri Raman Bhalla Working President forcefully reiterated the demand for the resignation and public apology from the Home Minister immediately .
He said that the entire nation is hurt by the insulting remarks of Home Minister in the parliament against the father of Constitution Dr Ambedkar but the Prime Minister is silent on this issue.The mindset of the B JP has come out open from the mouth of Home Minister Amit Shah, who used insulting words for the great stalwart.
He said that It was on the written request of Congress President and LOP in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and LOP in Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi to the Presiding officers of the two houses the discussions on the Constitution on completion of 75th was initiated, during the course of which Mr Amit Shah used the derogatory words against Dr Ambedkar.
Instead of paying tributes and honouring his great contributions in the framing of the Constitution , Mr Amit Shah insulted the great personality by using insulting words.
The party demands immediate resignation and public apology by the Home Minister to cool down the unrest in the country over the issue, otherwise people will not be satisfied .

Baldev Singh , Sandeep Dogra, , Pritam Singh, Annirudh Sawhney, Sat Paul Sapolia, Shamsher Chand, Sanjeev Katal, Aman Baba and others.
