Central University of Jammu Organizes 10-Day “Yuva Shakti Mahotsav”
Jammu, 11th January 2024: The Department of Educational Studies, in collaboration with the Dean of Students Welfare, launched the inaugural session of the 10-day “Yuva Shakti Mahotsav” at the Malviya Shiksha Bhavan, Central University of Jammu. The event was held under the esteemed patronage of Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain.
Dr. Kiran, Convener of the Co-curricular Committee, outlined the structure of the programme, which will unfold in several stages: Baahu Shakti, Mann Shakti, and Kala Shakti leading up to 26th January 2024.
The event was chaired by Prof. Ritu Bakshi, Dean Students Welfare and Prof. Uday Pratap Singh, Associate Dean Academics, both of whom shared insightful perspectives on youth empowerment.
Prof. Uday Pratap Singh was the guest of honour in the inaugural address.He emphasized the importance of empowering young minds through innovation and skill-based education. He further highlighted the value of spiritual intelligence, advocating for its role in youth development, and encouraged students to study the teachings of Swami Vivekananda to inspire a spirit of awakening within them.
Prof. Ritu Bakshi spoke about the significant role of youth in societal development, urging students to be mindful of their responsibilities to help strengthen the nation. She stressed that the energy and potential of youth should be properly channelized into various fields, boosting creativity, knowledge, and innovation.
Prof. J.N. Baliya echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that youth is the cornerstone of society and national progress. He encouraged students to discover and nurture their inner talents for their personal growth and the development of the nation.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Kiran, whose efforts ensured smooth organization and enthusiastic participation. The event concluded with a special vote of thanks by Mr. Arvind Kumar, who expressed gratitude to all the faculty members, research scholars, and students for their contributions. Dr. Aman, Dr. Sanjay, Dr. Arushi, Dr. Disha, and Dr. Shivali were also present during the session.
