J&K Scaling New Heights of Dev Under Modi govt: Aseem

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is witnessing unprecedented development and growth under the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A series of groundbreaking initiatives and reforms have propelled the region toward a new era of progress and prosperity.

Aseem Gupta, vice president, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, said this, while discussing the significance of newly inaugurated ‘ Sonmarg Tunnel’ by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, with party activists at Jammu on Wednesday.

Aseem Gupta said that since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, J&K has experienced massive development in infrastructure, and socio-economic landscape. The Prime Minister’s emphasis on “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” has become the cornerstone of development in the region, fostering inclusive growth and enhancing opportunities for all citizens.

Aseem Gupta said that a robust push toward infrastructural development has put J&K on the fast track to modernization. Mega projects such as the construction of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the Chenab Rail Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, symbolize a new dawn in connectivity. Improved road networks, modernized airports, and enhanced rail connectivity has significantly boosted trade, tourism, and ease of living.

Gupta further pointed out that J&K has emerged as a thriving hub for industrial investments, generating  employment opportunities and revitalizing the local economy.

“The Modi government’s focus on people-centric policies has led to remarkable improvements in education, healthcare, and social welfare. Initiatives like PMAY (Urban and Rural) have provided housing to thousands of families, while Ayushman Bharat has revolutionized healthcare delivery. Women’s empowerment programmes and skill development initiatives have given the youth and women a platform to thrive.

Tourism, the backbone of J&K’s economy, is experiencing a renaissance. The enhanced security measures and development-focused policies have brought peace and stability to the region, fostering an environment conducive to growth. The government’s efforts to integrate J&K into the national mainstream have strengthened the spirit of unity and harmony.
