These events have positioned Assam as a vital hub on India’s sports map,” Sonowal said.
Sarbananda Sonowal lauded the Assam Olympic Association’s initiatives, such as the first-ever Assam Youth Olympics held in 2022, which provided a platform to nurture talent from all corners of the state.
“We remain committed to taking steps that ensure comprehensive training and support for our athletes. I firmly believe that the Assam contingent will surpass its previous medal tally at the National Games and bring laurels to the state,” Sonowal added.
The President of AOA also underscored the significance of sports in the modern era. “Nations that excel in sports also achieve remarkable success in other fields.
