DC Doda distributes School Desks made from Waste Materials under CSR Initiative
DODA, JANUARY 22: In a remarkable step towards sustainable development and enhancing educational infrastructure, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, distributed school desks made from recycled waste materials under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The desks, donated by SBI Card and IPCA Laboratories, were allocated to schools across the district, including several institutions named in honor of martyrs, symbolizing their sacrifice and legacy.
The event was held at the DC Office Complex, where Deputy Commissioner flagged off vans carrying the desks to different schools in the district. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of such eco-friendly initiatives in supporting education and creating a sustainable future. He commended the CSR effort for its dual focus on waste management and improving school facilities.
SBI Card, a leading credit card issuer in India, contributed significantly to the initiative as part of its commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.
