Digital Content Creation for PM eVidya Channel Begins at DIET Leh

In line with the winter training schedule of the District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Leh, the Digital Content Creation for PM eVidya Channel commenced today, 22nd January 2025, at DIET Leh.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has provided 200 Direct-to-Home (DTH) channels across the country to promote educational content in regional languages. Out of these, the Union Territory of Ladakh has been allocated five channels dedicated to the dissemination of educational content in local languages. As part of this initiative, DIET Leh will focus on creating educational content in Bhoti, Balti, and Dard Aryan languages, covering subjects for classes 1, 2, 3, and 6. These educational materials are based on the revised textbooks, which have been specially aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the New National Curriculum Framework.

The PM eVidya Channels are a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Their goal is to provide high-quality educational content to students across the country, addressing the diverse educational needs of students in various regions.

This initiative will significantly benefit the students in Ladakh by providing them with easy access to educational content in their native languages, furthering the objectives of inclusive and accessible education.
