Congress Convenes Monthly Meeting at Congress Office Jammu

Jammu, February 3, 2025:   District Congress Committee Jammu – Urban under the leadership of Th. Manmohan Singh conducted its monthly strategy meeting at party Headquarters Shaheedi Chowk Jammu to discuss prominent issues.

 The meeting was presided over by Shri Raman Bhalla, Working President JKPCC and attended by Senior leaders Shri Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan, T.S. Tony , District Office Bearers, Block Presidents, Ward Presidents and other prominent workers of the party. In the meeting, District Congress leaders acknowledged pivotal issues related to the strengthening of the Congress party and came up with strategic decisions for the coming month.

Speaking on the occasion, Working President Shri Raman Bhalla elaborated the necessity to strengthen the party cadre at the grass root level. He asserted that Block & ward presidents are the pillar of the party cadre at the ward level. He emphasized that the Block and ward presidents should assert and constitute the Block/ward committees, if already not functioning.

 Reacting to the Union Budget, Bhalla termed it as ‘anti-poor, anti-farmer, directionless and disappointing.  In this budget, no concrete measures have been taken to eradicate the grave problem of unemployment . He also termed it as ‘disappointing’ in the context of J&K.

Shri Yogesh Saqwhney, Ved Mahajan and T.S. Tony suggested Various strategies and programs to strengthen the Congress party’s groundwork in Jammu District. Furthermore, while addressing the meeting, they urged the party functionaries at all levels to continue taking steps in the direction to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. They said that the genuine needs of the public should be addressed openly and that they should enable the public to recognize the ruses of the BJP and its divisive policies.

The other speakers aired the grievances of people regarding issuance of ration cards and its bifurcations. They also added that in view of the Municipal  Corporation Elections local candidate of good image may be given mandate.

Th. Manmohan Singh  President DCC (U) Jammu while concluding the meeting laid stress upon the participants to broadcast the policies and programmes of the Congress party and co-ordinate the efforts in strengthening the party cadre in every nook and corner of the Jammu city.
