Students of the Centre for Molecular Biology Presents Hands-on Training Immunology workshop at CU Jammu
Jammu, 3 Jan 2025: Mr. Pranjal Dwivedi and Mr. Satyam Rai, students of M.Sc. Biotechnology, Centre for Immunology, Central University of Jammu had the privilege of attending a week-long workshop on Immunology at IISER Bhopal, held in December 2024. The program was a perfect blend of theory and hands-on experience, designed to immerse participants in immunology techniques. This experience not only enhanced their technical skills but also deepened their passion for immunological research. In the week-long training, they learned about mice handling and dissection, blood grouping, and cell counting, DNA Extraction and Genotyping, serological techniques and their applications in immunodiagnostics, Antigen-Antibody Reactions, ELISA and Radial Immunodiffusion and Flow Cytometry (FACS). They found the experience rewarding and exciting.
They presented their experience and learning skill sets in the weekly journal club of the Centre for Molecular Biology.
The Journal Club activity was attended by research scholars, students, and faculty of the Centre. The Journal club activity was coordinated by Dr. Sudhir Singh, Assistant Prof, and Dr. Fareeda Akhtar, Assistant Prof. of CMB, CUJ.
