DC Doda inaugurates Youth Skill Training program under SANKALP

Asks to place services of ITI trained on Adbhut Doda portal; Register their services on GeM

DODA, March 04:   Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today inaugurated Skill Training programme for a group of 20 youth identified during Back to Village Phase-4 and My Town My Pride 2nd phase.

 The training has been organised under Skill Acquisition & Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) here in the ITI Campus.

 The participating youth will undergo training for Domestic Data Entry Operator under SANKALP. 

The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the candidates and guided them on how they can use their skills of computer knowledge towards earning a better livelihood. He also cited that all the government services are now online, which also increases the demand for computer savvy resource persons in the district.

 The Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of ITI Doda discussed the possibility of using skilled youth for services in the district through the Adbhut Doda online platform.

The Superintendent was commended for the high-tech computer lab available at ITI Doda.

Meanwhile, District Information Officer (Nodal Officer for Skill Development in the district)  Mohammad Ashraf Wani, briefed candidates about utilization of online tools for freelancing services through which they can earn a living. DC asked Manujender Singh, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF), to design a roadmap to start a skilling course for waste management at ITI Doda in consultation with superintendent ITI Doda.

The DC emphasized the trainees to learn skills keenly to be able to earn sustainable livelihood for themselves and generate employment for others as well.
