Central University of Jammu Hosts Inspiring Orientation on Gandhian Fellowship
Jammu, 05 Feb 2025: The Department of Social Work, Central University of Jammu under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev jain, in collaboration with Piramal Foundation, a CSR initiative of Piramal group, successfully organized an Orientation Program on the Gandhian Fellowship for its budding Social work students. This transformative session aimed to immerse students in the values of nation-building, grassroots leadership, and social innovation, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s principles.
The session was graced by distinguished Gandhian Fellows—Santosh, Shahid, Raj Kishore, and Faizan— who shared their first-hand experiences of working in rural India and leading impactful community initiatives. Their powerful narratives and real-world insights captivated the students, igniting a deep passion for social change.The event provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the Gandhian Fellowship and envision their future engagement with the community in the sector of educational development.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nancy Mengi, Head of Department, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the Gandhian Fellows. Their guidance and mentorship played a crucial role in making this orientation a grand success.
