National Conference seeks pre-1953 status, threatening regional stability and national integration: Pawan Sharma
Pawan Sharma, senior BJP leader Jammu-Kashmir and Prabhari for District Doda stated that the visionary dream of our esteemed Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to transform India into a developed nation by 2047 is not only inspiring but also a defining step toward shaping the country’s bright and prosperous future. However, it is deeply concerning that the leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference are advocating for a return to the pre-1953 status—an agenda that threatens the region’s progress, stability, and integration with the rest of India.
Such demands are not only prejudicial to India’s unity and sovereignty but also contravene the aspirations and interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The National Conference leadership must recognize that India is a strong and united nation, and preserving its integrity is a collective responsibility of all its citizens.
The National Conference leadership’s actual stance is being progressively revealed to the public through their divisive and outdated rhetoric. Their statements reflect a regressive mindset that contradicts the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who seek development, peace, and prosperity within a united India. The people are now more aware than ever and will decisively reject any attempt to push the region backward.
In a desperate attempt to avoid accountability for their unfulfilled election promises, the National Conference is utilizing diversionary tactics to mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir. However, the people are astute and well-informed; they will not be deceived by political theatrics. They can clearly differentiate between genuine leadership and hollow rhetoric, and they will ensure that the National Conference is held accountable for its failures.
