Five-Day Skill Development Programme on Soft computing Successfully concludes at SMVDU

The valedictory session and closing ceremony of the Five-Day Skill Development Programme on Soft Computing and applications successfully concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. Prof. Manoj Kumar Gupta, provided a comprehensive summary of the insightful five-day journey, highlighting the contributions of distinguished speakers from premier institutions, including Prof. Dinesh Kumar Vishwakarma(DTU), Prof. Divakar Yadav(IGNOU), Prof. Prabhat Verma(HBTU Kanpur), Dr. Shitala Prasad(IIT Goa), Dr. Karan Nathwani(IIT Goa), Dr. Karan Singh(JNU Delhi), Dr. Abhishek Gupta(CSIR),Dr. Gaurav Varshney(IIT Jammu) and Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh(CU Jammu) and two online sessions by Dr. Anuj Abraham and Dr. Partha Pratim Kundu. Dr Sanjay Mohan, CEO TBIC SMVDU fostered the entrepreneurship mindset among students. The organizing committee, including Dr. Pooja Sharma and Mr. Manoj Kumar Verma, along with guest speakers, distributed certificates to participants and organizers, acknowledging their dedication.

The gratitude was expressed to Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Registrar Ajay Kumar Sharma, Finance officer Neeraj Gupta and the Higher Education Department, Govt. of UT J&K, for their constant support in conducting the workshop. The participants conveyed their sincere appreciation to the entire organizing committee for successfully conducting a well-structured and insightful workshop. The event’s success was attributed to the diligent efforts of student coordinators: Rajat Rudraksh ,Tanish ,Aditya ,Arya ,Bhoomi ,Bigan, Achalendra, Anurag,Anish, Devesh and Piyush.The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Pooja Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Computer science and Engineering appreciating the contributions of all participants, distinguished speakers, and volunteers.

The programme provided an enriching platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation, equipping participants with cutting-edge soft computing knowledge and fostering entrepreneurship mindset among them.
