DC reviews civic amenities, infrastructure at Truck Terminal Doda

Participates in Plantation Drive


DODA, FEBRUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh conducted a comprehensive visit to the Truck Terminal near Akramabad to assess the existing infrastructure and services. During the visit, he issued string of directives to improve the terminal’s functionality and enhance convenience for truck operators.


The DC instructed the concerned departments, including PWD (R&B), the Municipal Council and ARTO to undertake immediate restoration and repair of the terminal building. He emphasized the urgent need to restore water and power supply to the facility.


Additionally, the DC Doda directed the ARTO Doda to ensure that all trucks operating in the area utilize the Truck Terminal for parking and related activities, aiming to streamline traffic flow in the town and enhance the terminal’s operational efficiency.


The DC Doda called for coordinated efforts among all concerned departments to ensure the repair works are completed within a fixed timeframe.


The visit was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, along with officers from PWD (R&B), ARTO Doda, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council Doda other officials and other Stakeholders.


Later, the Deputy Commissioner also participated in a plantation drive organized by the Department of Social Forestry around the Truck Terminal. As part of the initiative, the DC Doda planted saplings outside the terminal to promote environmental conservation and beautification of the area.


The DC highlighted the importance of tree plantation in addressing environmental challenges and underscored the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in preserving and enhancing the district’s green cover. He lauded the efforts of the Department of Social Forestry and participating departments in organizing the drive.


The event witnessed active participation from officers and officials from the PWD (R&B), ARTO Doda, Executive Officer MC Doda, and the Forestry team.
