Global PEACE Organization Hosts Interactive Session on Moral Education with Shri Shant Manu (IAS)
Jammu, February 27: The Global PEACE Organization, dedicated to awakening society’s moral conscience, organized an interactive welcome program featuring Shri Shant Manu (IAS), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), at the K.L. Sehgal Auditorium, Jammu Writers Club, on February 27. The event was attended by retired bureaucrats, senior officers, academicians, civil society members, Bar, Business, Doctors and representatives from various social and educational organizations.


The session focused on developing a roadmap for moral education. Advocate Sheikh Altaf Hussain, Chairman of the Global PEACE Organization, emphasized the importance of moral education in the current context and proposed both short-term and long-term goals. The chief guest lauded the initiative, outlined governmental measures already in place, and welcomed the organization’s suggestions, assuring their incorporation into relevant policies.
He also unveiled the “Golden Principles of Life” during the event. Gohar Hafiz Fani, Convener of the Global PEACE Organization, conducted the proceedings, while Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua delivered the vote of thanks. A memorandum was later presented to the chief guest, outlining recommendations such as Introducing a Moral Education Policy in schools and colleges in line with the New Education Policy, Establishing moral education cells within both School and Higher Education departments, Organizing seminars, symposiums, debates, and declamations on moral education, Moral education as a mandatory subject in school curricula, Establishing moral education as a distinct discipline at college and university levels and Engaging experts to promote communal harmony and highlight commonalities among religious scriptures etc.
