Roam Rome Mein directed by Tannishtha Chatterjee, to close National Indian Film Festival of Australia
The National Indian Film Festival of Australia (NIFFA) will close its 2025 edition with the screening of Roam Rome Mein, marking the directorial debut of acclaimed actress Tannishtha Chatterjee.


Produced by Eros Media World, the psychological drama features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Isha Talwar, Valentina Corti, and Francesco Apolloni in leading roles, with Vineet Kumar, Andrea Scarduzio, Ciera Foster, and Priyansh Jora in supporting roles. The film, shot in Hindi, English, and Italian, delves into the complexities of human emotions across cultural boundaries.

So, I am so happy that my directorial debut Roam Rome Mein will be th closing night film at Australia’s first and only annual national festival of Indian cinema.”, said Tannishtha Chatterjee.

NIFFA is a pioneering festival in Australia, supported by significant Indian and Australian institutions, including Dendy Cinemas, the Indian High Commission in Australia, the consulates of Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), SBS (Special Broadcasting Service – Australia), and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). This year’s festival features over 35 world and Australian premieres of Indian films in 16 languages, highlighted by seven red carpet events across major cities, beginning with the opening night film Superboys of Malegaon.
NIFFA 2025 is dedicated to celebrating the diversity of Indian cinema beyond Bollywood, with screenings held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra.
