DC Kathua review preparations for LG’s Special Governance Camp for displaced persons of PoJK

KATHUA, March06: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review preparations regarding the conduct of the Lieutenant Governor’s Special Governance Camp for displaced persons of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

The meeting was attended by officials from the Revenue Department, Health Department, Education Department and Social Welfare Department. The objective of the meeting was to review the preparations made so far and to discuss ways to improve the arrangements for the upcoming camp.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Special Governance Camp for displaced persons of PoJK is aimed at providing different government services/ schemes, such as Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, domicile certificates, and health services to the displaced persons. The camp will also provide an opportunity to the displaced persons to interact with government officials and voice their concerns.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for the smooth conduct of the camp. He also emphasized the need for proper coordination among the various departments involved in the organization of the camp.

The DC said, “The Lieutenant Governor’s Special Governance Camp is an important initiative of the government, aimed at ensuring saturation of all the services to the displaced persons of PoJK. We are committed to ensuring that the camp is organized smoothly and efficiently, and that all the needs of the displaced persons are met.”

The meeting concluded with the officials being instructed to expedite the preparations for the camp and ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place.

Pertinently, the Lieutenant Governor’s Special Governance Camp for displaced persons of PoJK is scheduled to be held on March 19, 2023 in Kathua district.
