TLSC Khaltse celebrates International Women’s Week

LEH, March 10: Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Khaltse observed International Women’s Week with great enthusiasm at Khaltse.

Munsiff/Chairman TLSC Khaltse, Wangial Tsering highlighted the rights of women as enshrined in the constitution of India and stated that Legal Services Committees provide free legal aid to women who face violence and discrimination in society.

Similarly, Advocate Jigmet Angmo and Advocate Sonam Yangdol enumerated the rights of women provided under various laws.

President,Women Alliance also spoke on occasion and emphasized that gender equity can be achieved only if each and every individual consciously contributes towards the same.

SHO Khaltse also spoke on the occasion and encouraged the participants to come forward and file complaints of eve teasing, sexual assault, or any kind of violence.

CDPO, ICDS Khaltse; President and members of Women Association Khaltse Block; teaching staff and students of Govt. Higher Secondary School; Staff Members of TLSC Khaltse and Para Legal Volunteers participated in the program.
