NC govt a total failure, deliberately wasted last 3 days of assembly session: Sunil Sharma
Jammu 10 April: Calling the NC government a total failure, Sunil Sharma said that the NC government deliberately wasted the last 3 days of the assembly session.

Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, J&K Assembly & General Secretary, J&K BJP, along with Sham Lal Sharma, Vice-President, J&K BJP & MLA, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, General Secretary, J&K BJP & MLA, and Thakur Darshan Singh, MLA was addressing a press conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

J&K BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, and Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra were also present in the press conference.
Sunil Sharma, while addressing the media, stressed on the BJP’s commitment to serve the masses adding that the 28 elected MLAs of BJP are committed to raise public issues in the Assembly.
NC had made many fake promises to the public in its Assembly election manifesto raising a lot of expectations from the elected government like free 200 electricity units, free LPG cylinder every month, and 10 kg free grains to every household, 1 lakh jobs in 1 year, hike in pension, daily wagers and unemployment issues.
The first Budget Session of J&K had nearly 25 days of work. The people were expecting that at least 50% of the promises will get fulfilled by the 6 months of government and 2 Assembly sessions.
NC government is exposed for its lies, especially when they announced free ration for the people under Antyodaya Anna Yojana and 200 free units for people under Antyodaya Anna Yojana linked with PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He questioned that when this scheme stands only for 2 years how can they link it for 5 years.
For the very first time, the government itself didn’t let the Assembly work for the consecutive 3 days.
Professionalism is to be maintained to run the affairs of the Assembly for the people’s welfare. The NC government has proved that it doesn’t care for the people’s issues and rights.
He mentioned the Private Member’s Bill for the discussion on the ‘Statehood’ issue. BJP wanted to debate on the issue to expose the misdeeds of the previous governments, when they had full control over the police with a full-fledged state. The state had to face targeted killings and the massacres forcing the people to be traumatized under NC governments.
Today, under the Union Home Ministry, the J&K has witnessed the most peaceful times, with curbed terrorism and separatism. The statehood would be restored, once the roots of terrorism and separatism will be completely eliminated.
We never stand with the NC’s vision for State, whose senior leaders favour talks with Pakistan, radicalize the atmosphere, and raise religious slogans within the Assembly to intimidate. Similar conditions forced the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.
We want a statehood with peace and prosperity with a vibrant atmosphere for business and tourists. NC wants to relive the narrative of terrorists.
BJP, in Parliament, has committed to restore the statehood with prosperity.
The NC government has proved to be a failure and now they want to radicalize the region.
Sham Lal Sharma alleged the wrong precedent set by the National Conference to emotionally blackmail the people. The NC utterly failed the working culture of the Assembly. He also questioned the role of Chair in giving the safe passage to the NC government on its failure terming it as a fixed match.
Even after 6 months, the NC government failed to fill 32000 vacant posts and create 1 lakh new posts, failed on ration, pension issues doing eyewash on the issue. Last three days of business were lost, failing the people by ignoring the private members’ bills. We are committed and disciplined to the constructive opposition, but lost hope in the dispensation.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal charged the NC government with failing to meet the aspirations of the SC community. He mentioned the absence of discussions on the welfare schemes for the SC community. He talked of the reservation in promotion and reiterated that the NC government has failed the SC community and the residents of J&K at large.
