Major Recoveries In Theft Cases: SP Rural Brijesh Sharma Addresses Press At Nagrota Police Station
Nagrota, April 13: In a notable effort to tackle theft, SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, along with other senior officials, held a press conference today at the Nagrota Police Station. They shared some exciting updates on recent breakthroughs in several cases throughout the Nagrota Sub-Division.


Earlier, three FIRs were filed at the Nagrota, Jhajjar Kotli and Manwal Police Stations. Acting quickly, the investigation kicked off from the Jhajjar Kotli Police Post. Here, SHO Amit Roshan from the Manwal Police Post used a mix of human intelligence and technical analysis to catch four suspects: Basant Kumar from Nagrota, Ranjit and Debi Chand from Reasi and Jatinder from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. This operation resulted in the recovery of 23 high-value radio units, each worth around Rs 2.5 lakhs, totalling an impressive Rs 60 lakhs. The entire operation was overseen by SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh.
In another successful operation, two additional cases of electric wire theft registered at the Sidhra and Nagrota Police Stations were also resolved. Four individuals—Mubarak Hussain, Manzoor Ahmad, Nisar, and Sartaj Ali were arrested, and stolen electric wires valued at about Rs 8 lakhs were recovered. All four suspects have since been granted bail.
